Rohan Nuttall

University of British Columbia
Research Assistant at the Urban Predictive Analytics Lab
Rohan is currently a Research Assistant with the Urban Predictive Analytics Lab at UBC, working
on data models and visualization for smart cities. He completed his undergraduate thesis in
experimental particle physics with the Rare Decay Research Group, has worked for TRIUMF
(Canada’s National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics) on optimizing radioactive
isotope production, and spent a summer working on electronics for UBC’s Quantum Devices
Research Group. His fascination with atoms and their interactions lends itself to broader
questions of how societies organize and, in particular, how to catalyze the emergence of
sustainable, intelligent urban systems. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics, which was supported
by the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership.
