Policy Analyst
Karen Bronsard is a Policy Analyst at the Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation (Natural Resources Canada). She primarily works to bridge the gap between operations and policy, allowing people on both sides to understand each other. Specifically, she is interested in promoting the integration of geospatial data in decision-making. Currently, she is effecting and managing change as new technologies are significantly changing the way data is understood, used and created. Prior to working at NRCan, she was a Mission Planner at the Canadian Space Agency, where her expertise in open data was put to good use. She holds a Master’s Degree in Geographic Sciences as well as a Master’s Degree in Management. Karen spends her free time promoting Women in STEM across government.
