Nicola is principal of Westbrook Public Affairs, which provides government relations services, project management, strategic communications, and policy support services primarily in the areas of local government, infrastructure and environmental services. Nicola has over 25 years' professional experience in public policy development, government relations, project management and communications. Nicola has served as Deputy Director of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, a binational coalition of over 130 mayors representing over seventeen million people in Canada and the United States. Nicola was senior policy advisor to two Ontario Ministers of the Environment. Nicola has also served as senior policy advisor for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, where she led AMO's participation in Part II of the Walkerton Contaminated Water Public Inquiry.
