James Flynn

SHAD Fellow and Rhodes Scholar

James Flynn is a Rhodes Scholar with interests in digital literacy and economic development. 

James is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He also holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Science degrees from the University of Oxford. Before Oxford, James earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto, where he studied on a National Scholarship and was awarded the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award for his contributions to the university community.

In his spare time, he is the Founder of Code NL, a not-for-profit organization that works to improve computer programming education in Newfoundland and Labrador.

James not only attended SHAD, he made important life-long connections there and worked as a mentor and program staff at SHAD Memorial.
