Dr. Krista Robson, Chair of the Research Ethics Board at Red Deer College, received a SSHRC Knowledge Synthesis Grant in 2016-2017 to investigate how the OCAP approach could be applied to college research in Central Alberta. (OCAP: "ownership, control, access, and possession" approach, where First Nations control data collection processes in their communities).

Dr. Krista Robson teaches Sociology at Red Deer College. She teaches in the area of criminology, aging, gender and offers Community Service-Learning opportunities for students in all these courses. She has worked on different community-based, collaborative research projects in recent years; topics have included - HIV/AIDS in Aboriginal Communities, Immigrant Women’s Economic Security and Ethics & Research with Aboriginal Communities.
