Dr. Deb Stark

Former Deputy Minister of Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs; board member, Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute
Deb is the former Deputy Minister of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). During her public service career, she held various senior leadership roles within OMAFRA and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) including serving as Ontario's first chief veterinary officer. She is currently on the boards of the Canadian Agriculture Policy Institute, the University of Guelph, Genome Ontario, and the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame Association.  She is a member of the newly created organization 100 Women Who Care, Rural Wellington, and the Golden Triangle Angel Network.  She also volunteers at a local long-term care facility and is an active mentor.
