Dr. David Moorman is the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s Senior Advisor for Policy and Planning. As the Senior Advisor, Dr. Moorman assists with the development and planning of new research infrastructure support programs and related policies. Dr. Moorman is specifically responsible for the drafting of Strategic Plans, Implementation Strategies, Corporate Plans and a variety of policy statements. He also advises the CFI senior management team on S&T policy, recent developments in science and new directions in research funding programs, both domestic and international. Dr. Moorman holds a Ph.D in Canadian History from the University of Ottawa. He has extensive experience in international S&T affairs, including acting as co-chair for the OECD Working Group on Principles for Access to Publicly Funded Research Data, liaison with the European Commission on common issues related to research infrastructure and manager of the ERA-Can II project.
