Kathryn O'Hara is  a science journalism educator and communicator with 40 years in public broadcasting and academia. She held the CTV Chair in Science Broadcast Journalism at Carleton until she retired  in 2018.  She served on the executive board of the World Federation of Science Journalists from 2012-2016. She was part of the Council of Canadian Academies expert panel on research integrity and retains a strong interest in journalistic ethics and professionalism. She is currently an adjunct research professor in the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton.
