Lisi Feng joined British Columbia's Ministry of Children and Family Development as a Mitacs Science Policy Research Fellow. She is currently conducting two research projects: one on the funding mechanisms for foster parents and kinship carers in developed countries and the other one on best practices to support youth transitioning out of government care. Prior to her role in the provincial government, Lisi Feng earned her PhD in Community and Regional Planning and her MA in Sociology, both from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Feng's interests span from child welfare to international development, housing, and community planning.
