Research Officer

I joined British Columbia’s Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General as a Canadian Science Policy Fellow. As an experimental psychologist, I apply both quantitative and qualitative methods to learn more about homelessness and at-risk individuals. My research focuses on vulnerable, low-income people living with substance use disorder, behavioural health conditions, and chronic disease.
My current research is examining the overdose crisis in BC. I am interested in looking at the characterisitcs of the individuals who have died of overdose, more specifically their physical and mental health and their health service use. I am also interested in examining the support available to the family and friends of these individuals.
